Homeland Security opening private mail

Dear Mom,

I'll be coming home soon. Please don't tell my big brother. I am hoping to surprise him. Some how he always knows.

Big Brother Comes to IHOP

You heard it first at our website. There is no link to another site.

All activities, visual and audio, are recorded at IHOP restaurants (International House of Pancakes). As you enter the restaurant, there are signs clearly displayed indicating this. A waitress at our local IHOP said there were 32 microphones placed through the restaurant, some to monitor employees, others to monitor patrons. We all knew there were video cameras, but why are dinner conversations being recorded? What is the company who provides this service for IHOP doing with these recordings? Can you think of a better way for Homeland Security to keep a pulse on America than to monitor our table talk? Why not? They already read our mail, our email, and listen to our phone calls.
